Ok you guys, I know there are 2million + IG/bloggers who are 1000x more skilled and technology savvy than I am at this point, BUT...I'm living by the motto that you don't have to see the whole staircase you just need to take the first step. And that's exactly what I'm doing. Thanks for tagging along. I'll be learning as I go ;).
I don't weigh myself or typically even know my measurements but for a sizing reference to these items I did take my sewing tape measure today to give you an accurate size reference. I wasn't shocked that I no longer have a 23" waist, gone are those days and I'm perfectly OK with that. Babies sure do change bodies ;).
Height 5'6 Bust: 36.5 Waist: 25 Hips: 36 short toro, curvy frame.
These are great pieces if you have an upcoming trip, live somewhere with mild weather year round or are just super excited for Spring & Summer and are over buying sweaters. I'm raising my hand to this one...although I still have a few more months of sweater weather living in Nebraska.
All of these pieces are found on Amazon, and seriously the whole point of this haul is that I didn't want to spend a fortune on items I will only be able to wear a few times a year. You could purchase all of these items and be around $100. One more thing to add...for all of the items shown, I ordered many more that come and fall short of expectations. So their really is value in someone doing the leg work for these finds. Just sayin'.
You'll find this Haul in my IG Stories so you can refer back to it. Also, please never hesitate to DM for a question on sizing, etc...always happy to help. Each picture is clickable to the link, as well as the item description below. Hope that helps.
Look 1: Seashell Skirt with White Beaded Fashion Earring
The skirt runs true to size (TTS) and is $20. It's lined and yet still very light and breezy.
The earrings are a total steal $7.99 for a pack of 2! I think these would be perfect to add to a graduation card with money. One for you, one to give. Perfect.
I obsessively wore similar shorts from Wal-Mart last summer that were only avaiable in a few colors. I love that these come in 18 different colors & patterns. I already ordered the aqua and red today after getting these in. They are $20.50 :).
And my absolute favorite item of this entire haul, these earrings $7.99. They come in lots of different colors, so be sure to check out those options. A few years ago these would have been too "trendy" for me but I really think that if you keep everything else simple, a piece like these shines without feeling trendy. Does that make sense? I'm ready working on my next haul and the sister to these earring will be included.
I love that going on a trip or on vacation somehow gives the soul an excuse to be out of it's norm. I would say that I'm normally a solid gal but I do love a good block print or something out of my norm from time to time. The colors and mix of ikat and geometrics had my heart singing. $20.85
How fun are these tassels? This dress runs big so unless you want a large coverup, I'd size down. I'm wearing a small here and could have easily done an extra-small. $14.99
The most "me" cover-up of them all. I'm wearing a white bikini bottom and a black bikini top so you can get a good sense of it's transparency. It comes in 15 different colors so the darker I'm sure aren't as transparent. Although I think it's a bit cheeky because of that so I'm all for it ;). $21.99. I'll be wearing this on repeat all year. I think I'm going to buy the black and use it for a spring tunic with leggings and a little cami underneath.
This bag got great reviews and for $12.99, I couldn't pass it up. The magnetic clasp is really nice and holds it closed nicely without fear of the world seeing what's in your bag. Plus if you ask me. The texture it brings to an outfit makes a statement, I need to remember texture more when putting together my outfits. I hope this helps you to do the same too.
I quit buying designer sunglasses years ago because I'm a terrible Mom to them. I don't wear sunnies as much as I should either so not investing a lot into them is key. I love the idea of only investing $13.57 for something that if I lose I most likely cannot recover. If you have a smaller framed face, these would be great for you too.
Considering you can buy all of these items for about $100, I'd say you could pat yourself on the back for keeping in budget. Until next time, Chelsea.
